Hello anime fans, as many of you know the last two chapters of Naruto the manga were release today, the Chapter 699 included an ending to the final arc and Chapter 700 is an epilog to the series.
In other Naruto news the "Naruto: The Last" is set to air in Japan on December 6, 2014. "Kishimoto-sensei says the manga and movie are connected, and because that is the case the manga should be read to completion first. However, even if one hasn’t finished the manga it’s alright! He continues on mentioning that he’s going to be blunt and say the movie is about love! There hasn’t been a movie with a romantic theme thus far so he hopes fans will enjoy the experience."

A new chapter in Naruto’s spin off manga “Rock Lee’s Spring Time of Youth,” reveals a sketch of Hinata’s sister Hanabi from “The Last Naruto the Movie.”
The manga is based of Naruto Shippuden. Created by Kenji Taira, the
anime premiered on TV Tokyo on April 3, 2012. Crunchyroll currently has episodes available for streaming.
Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals is the first spin-off anime
series that does not follow the main plot of the Naruto Shippuuden series,
although it retains the original voice actors. The series chronicles the daily
life and training of Konohagakure ninja Rock Lee, who can utilize taijutsu, but
has no skill in ninjutsu or genjutsu. Episodes feature comical scenes and
mini-skits to emphasize the characters' goals and thought processes. – Wiki
I do recommend this anime it’s like a Teen Titans Go! version
of Naruto Shippuden. Here is a link to an episode and the manga.
Hello anime fans! I am proud to announce that our first meeting of the Fall 2014 Semester will be on Thursday October 2, 2014 2:00PM. The location will be at the Harleigh
B. Trecker Library's Upstairs Group Study Room (the one with carpet). As you may have heard Studio Ghibli’s director
Hayao Miyazaki has once again announced his retirement. Due to this circumstance the studio is temporarily
halting productions. Studio Ghibli is responsible for many award winning animated films such as Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Panyo, and much more.
You as the members of the UConn Greater Hartford Anime Club are going to vote on which movies will be screened on a poll located on our official Facebook page.
We
will be screening the first hour (or half hour) of a Ghibli film during anime club. After the club meeting online links
to the movie will be available on this site.
On April 17, 2014 the UConn Greater Hartford Anime Club showcased Black Butler Episode 1 and for
those interested in finishing the first season here is the link to both the
English Dub and English Sub.
Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus aka Black Butler Season 3 is
going to follow a very specific arc within the manga, so it is as plot driven
as it is entertaining.

We have exciting news about the reboot Sailor Moon also
known as Sailor Moon Crystal. For starts the series is set to premier July 5,
2014.
This reboot, unlike the original anime is going to stick to
the source material and be a retelling of the manga. Similar to how Full Metal
Alchemist based off the manga while Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is a
strict adaptation of the manga.
